Rock’O to the rescue!

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Riley and Rock’O are a perfect match.  Highly trained at detecting peanuts, just like a bomb or narcotics dog, Rock’O keeps Riley safe from her life-threatening allergy to peanuts.  We applaud Rock’O and his generous trainer Brian Whitstine of the Florida Canine Academy!  Please support Riley and her family’s new foundation, Angel Service Dogs, which provides assistance dogs to children with hidden disabilities.

iPhone powered NumNum dispenser!

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

I must give an A for the day to Cooper’s dad, Stephen Myers, an engineering student who created a homemade iPhone controlled treat dispenser, in less than an hour, using a cd spindle case, ioBridge hardware, and wood scraps. Mom says it reminds her of something my grandpa would’ve helped her make in science class.  Let’s hope Stephen figures out a way to market this… congrats Cooper!

Help Obama HELP US!

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Calling all dogs (and cats, rabbits, fish, etc…)

Yes. We. Did.

Now, it’s time for animals to DEMAND the change we voted for!

President-elect Barack Obama is working to fill key positions in his administration, among them the Secretary of Agriculture and Secretary of the Interior. These positions have a tremendous impact on the treatment of animals and the enforcement of a broad range of laws—including those covering puppy mills, humane slaughter, animal fighting, and wildlife. It is critical that President-elect Obama appoint individuals who have a demonstrated track record of support for policies that protect animals.

Among the candidates being considered for these two positions, there are several who have taken a strong stance on animal protection. Please, ask the human in your life, to join me in urging President-elect Obama to seriously consider animal protection when appointing these positions.

Sincerely,

Preston Casanova

Pres in the City

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

om and I had a blast on the east coast…  We hung out with our co-star friends, David and Elvis at PUPTOBERFEST in NJ, signing “pawtographs” at a festival benefiting The Eleventh Hour Rescue.  Then we adventured all over New York City in the first ever DOGGIE AMAZING RACE, to help raise money for the Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition!  I made so many new friends, and had the best time bonding with momma for two amazing organizations.  To everyone who joined us, THANK YOU!

Here are some photo highlights…

What is Preston’s Planet?

Monday, October 13th, 2008

I am Preston.  And welcome to my planet!

A place where ALL dogs are created equal… CHERISHED… RESPECTED… and LOVED… by humans everywhere, as we deserve to be.  As my mudder bear and best friend treats me!  ENVISION a perfect world for canines :) and EMPOWER YOURSELF.  I hope to make the above a reality, with the help of some very special human friends… and hopefully, YOU!

There are MILLIONS of dog guardians on our beautiful earth…  In fact, according to a recent APPMA survey, there are nearly 75 million dogs in the United States, alone!  Just imagine how many of us exist in other parts of the world?!  Think of all we can accomplish, if animal guardians could somehow unite?!!!

I have a dream. With the help of my momma, Laura Nativo, I am launching PrestonsPlanet.com - a fun, informative online blog community that connects dog lovers and experts who all share my passion.

Please join us on our adventures around the world, as I challenge important issues on behalf of my fellow dog.  I look forward to meeting you along the way!  And you can always catch up with our journey here @ PrestonsPlanet.com.  As we embark on a mission to better our planet by making it easier for people to offer animals a happier, healthier, more involved lifestyle - THANK YOU for your support!

I do believe, together, we can make a positive impact in our lifetime.

Preston’s Planet.com, paws for a happier tomorrow…

Lick. Love. Live.
