Treat your pet like the star that they are at this red carpet event!

This holiday season we invite you to HEEL THE LOVE at this special pet friendly release party for MARLEY AND ME. This event features a silent charity auction to benefit spcaLA as well as scheduled guest appearances by Marley, one of the stars of the upcoming 20th Century Fox release MARLEY AND ME! Also scheduled to attend is Artist Knox, winner of Animal Planet’s “Groomer Has It”, who will be on site showing off his winning grooming skills while Animal Planet films the event!

Our four-legged friends will be able to relax and party on the huge grass covered doggy dance floor and partake in complimentary doggy snacks and specialty canine cocktails.

Two-legged patrons will enjoy valet parking, live entertainment, gift bags with doggy goodies, no cover charge and much more while they exercise their option to bid on great items to benefit the spcaLA!

ABOUT SPCA LA:
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) was founded in 1877 and is the first organization to promote animal welfare in Southern California. Originally chartered to end the abuse of horses used in travel during the “buggy” days, the organization expanded to include child abuse cases and then pet abuse cases.  As a nonprofit, independently chartered organization, spcaLA is not affiliated with any other “SPCA” or humane society.  spcaLA does not receive funding to support our humane programs from any government agency.  Financial support for the organization’s programs is provided by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Today, spcaLA is 75,000 supporters strong and is dedicated to the welfare of all animals. To further our mission of preventing violence toward animals through Law Enforcement, Education, Advocacy and Intervention, we offer myriad dynamic programs and services.

ABOUT SKYBARK:
SKYBARk is a new, upscale club offering a place for both humans and canines to live it up late night.  For the first time owners can bring their best four legged friends out in a social environment where cocktails and food are offered along with a lively atmosphere.  The inaugural event was March 25, 2006 at our Downtown Los Angeles Location and it was a howling success, so successful that it has spread across to the east coast! Dogs and owners are able to mix it up socially with both old and new friends, all of which sharing the common love of animals.

ABOUT MARLEY AND ME:
Based on the beloved New York Times column and best selling book by John Grogan, MARLEY AND ME is the heartwarming and unforgettable story of a family in the making and the wondrously neurotic dog who taught them what really matters in life. MARLEY AND ME, starring Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Eric Dane, and Alan Arkin is in theatres December 25, 2008!

One Response to “Marley & Me Release Party”

  1. Jonas Manashowitz Says:

Let’s all take a moment to thank Pet A Potty for sponsoring these fantastic events.

SKYBARK’S Marley and Me event was terrific. Laura and Preston were in grand presence, as always. The camera crew from Animal Planet, in a flurry of hand held lights, cameras and wires were there to catch all the canine action. Marley made a special entrance and was greeted warmly by most of his fellow furry friends, though one decidedly irate poodle mix snapped a bit at him. But it seemed all in a dog’s day’s work.

Also in attendance, Austin, The Flyin’ Lion, was up his usual arial tricks. There were lots of great “kids with fur” and some great vendors as well. If you love your dog(s) and you want to attend a special night with him/her/them, then check out Skybark.

    Cheers, Peace and Healthy pets,

    Jonas Manashowitz
