THE PAWTASTICS is a not-for-profit volunteer family of happy canines and their humans, comprised of celebrity dogs, studio canines and other exceptionally-trained animals who provide animal-assisted activities (AAA) and animal-assisted therapy (AAT) services to individuals of all ages with social, emotional and cognitive needs in healthcare facilities, social agencies and educational programs in Southern California.

COMFORT PAWS began in 2008, founded by GREATEST AMERICAN DOG co-stars Laurie Williams and Laura Nativo, in celebration of their two dogs, Andrew and Preston. COMFORT PAWS is a bi-coastal therapy dog volunteer organization, with branches in Fairfax, VA and Los Angeles, CA.

If you would like to “audition” for The Pawtastics, the west coast division of COMFORT PAWS, we encourage you to research The Pet Partners Program of The Delta Society. All therapy dog teams must become registered Pet Partners with The Delta Society to be considered for the COMFORT PAWS organization.

We invite our friends in Southern California to contact us if you are involved with a school, library, shelter, hospital, nursing home, or anywhere that could benefit from the joy, peace and comfort a therapy animal brings.

You do NOT need a dog of your own to get involved, and experience the incredible fulfillment volunteering with therapy animals provides!

We are currently seeking therapy dog teams, as well as passionate individuals with photography, web design, graphic design, and fundraising skills.
